Tim graduated from East Carolina University in 1989 with a BSBA in Finance and a Concentration in Real Estate. In 1991, he became a certified appraiser while working with Hitchens Appraisal Group in Charlotte, NC and then moved to Raleigh, NC.

Tim began McNamara & Company Residential Real Estate Appraisers in Raleigh in 1994. McNamara & Company has thrived since its inception based on Tim’s work ethic and market focus. Tim’s immense knowledge of the marketplace, attention to detail, and customer service have enabled clients to focus on what they do best. He continuously trains and develops others to become appraisers and/or measurement specialists and often speaks to real estate groups about trends, markets, analysis of home values, etc.

Eligibility Requirements for Course Completion Certificate 

In order to complete an approved continuing education course Per Commission Rule 58A .1705(a), a broker shall: 

(1) Attend at least 90 percent of the scheduled instructional hours for the course; 
(2) Provide his or her legal name and license number to the education provider; 
(3) Present his or her pocket card or photo identification card, if necessary; and 
(4) Personally perform all work required to complete the course.

Tuition and Fees

All classes are in-person classes. All classes must be paid via credit card, debit card or PayPal to ensure a spot is held.

Class cancellations by participants must be made within 5 days of class due to materials being made. If not cancelled within 5 days of class, the participant will only receive an 80% refund. Sickness, emergencies, etc., will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

Attendance

  • Classes will begin promptly at their published time, unless weather or some other event occurs. Reminders will be sent to all participants 2 days before class. In the case of inclement weather or an emergency/event occurs, communications will also be sent to all participants via email.
  • Early departures from CE courses delivered in-person or via synchronous distance learning are prohibited by Rule 58A .1705.
  • Attendance will be closely monitored, including late arrivals and early departures from class sessions and from all scheduled breaks, during in-person and synchronous distance learning courses. All time missed will be recorded for each student.

Course Cancellation or Rescheduling/Refunds

The Education Provider reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a course as needed. If a course needs to be canceled or rescheduled, we will strive to provide notice at least 5 days prior to the start of the class. If a course is canceled or rescheduled, students will have the following options:

  1. Obtain a refund
  2. Reschedule for another next class.

Withdrawals and Transfers / Refunds

A student may withdraw from a course by giving written notice to the Education Provider prior to the start of the course. In such event, the student will have the following options:

  1. Obtain a full refund if given at least a 5 day notice,
  2. Obtain an 80% refund if given less than a 5 day notice,
  3. Reschedule for another next class.

A student who does not show up for a class will not be entitled to a refund of any portion of paid tuition, unless a situation arises such as sickness or an emergency. If a refund is given, the refund will be for 80% of the tuition fee for materials.

CERTIFICATION OF RECEIPT
I certify that I received a copy of McNamara & Company’s Policies & Procedures Disclosure prior to payment of any non-refundable course registration fee or tuition.
Full Legal Name of Prospective Student: 
A signed Certification of Receipt will be collected by the education provider, McNamara & Company, and retained for at least 3 years.
